A Power HUG credits the utility account of any LG&E, KU or ODP customer. Instead of working like traditional gift certificates, which can get lost or become obsolete if the store or restaurant goes out of business, a Power HUG is a credit placed directly on the recipient’s account. Power HUGs are ideal during challenging times. They make the perfect gift for families or businesses in need, senior citizens, newlyweds and college students who live off campus. Power HUGs also make a great gift for churches, non-profits, local businesses and social service organizations who struggle to manage routine operating expenses throughout the year.

When you purchase a Power HUG, we’ll automatically deduct the amount of your purchase from the recipient’s next bill. And we’ll mail (or email) you a gift certificate you can present to the recipient to let them know you bought them a Power HUG. The recipient does not need to take any action when you present them with the HUG certificate. You can remain anonymous if you like.

Include a check or money order for the amount of your HUG purchase. We can email the HUG certificate and your receipt if you prefer. If you do not want us to email it to you, we will mail it to you or directly to the recipient if you select that option. Please allow 10 business days for processing.
